ClubHouse Facilities
Abingdon City Council has given planning permission for a new clubhouse facility for Abingdon City Football Club. The new 3,229 sq ft building will replace a previous clubhouse destroyed in an arson attack in October 2009. The fire destroyed over 20 years of historical documents as well as club memorabilia and trophies. Training
Abingdon United are to move from the current training facilities at Chesterton, near Bicester to the Rovers Sports and Social Club in Cowley for the coming season. The new training base has four full-sized football pitches, a club house, lounge and kitchen facilities, showers and numerous changing rooms. The facility already houses the Abingdon United Academy.
